You play as Dema, a young runaway would-be monarch, as she and her younger sibling flee an assassination attempt on them and their father's lives. A knight swears to keep you safe. A farm boy keeps you company. Your sibling misses home. You try to be a better person.

How to play:

Click on words that appear as a different color (aka are hyperlinks) to progress the story. Some areas have multiple links on one page–feel free to explore! Clicking on a link may provide more information as to what’s happening in the story. Links will generally link back to the page you found them on. Links that progress the story forward generally appear as a different color than links that just provide additional narration.

The story is largely linear, but does include some exploration, player choice, and branching paths.

Full screen is recommended! It works best on desktop (wider screens), but is functional on mobile. The text works on any device, but the backgrounds don’t center well on thinner screens.
